We made an early escape from home and headed north via the doggy hotel. Kona was placed and we continued the journey through the Swan Valley. We continued until we reached the Windmill Road house. This location proved to have the best wildflowers for the entire week as further north had essentially finished flowering for the season.
We headed towards the coast and next stop was the Pinnacles. These strange features were worth the detour and are an amazing sight standing guard in the desert. We stopped at the town of Cervantes for lunch before completing the road trip to Kalbarri. We arrived just before dinner and headed straight to the local pub for a fee with the Pearce and Cook families.
